You make a great point with Northeastern. It’s too bad the Huskies won’t play ODU again until a possible matcup in the conference tournament. William & Mary is a tough sell with only a 9-5 conference record, but I agree if they find themselves on the bubble those road wins against top ACC teams will go a long way and they also beat a very good Richmond team. At this point I think the CAA will send Northeastern and ODU to the NCAA Tournament. It will be interesting to see how playing the conference tournament in Richmond will benefit the Virginia schools and possibly hinder Northeastern.

I agree that Old Dominion should be considered the favorites to win the CAA Tournament, but I like Northeastern. They have an outstanding player in Matt Janning, play terrific defense, and, as you mentioned, they already beat ODU and Mason. If William & Mary can close the season strong, get to the CAA final, I think they could sneak in as an at-large. If they can get anywhere close to the bubble, those wins over Maryland and Wake Forest will be hard to overlook. I think two of those three teams will get in. What’s your opinion of this?
