2008 NCAA TOURNAMENT PREDICTIONS
FINAL FOUR - San Antonio, TX
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE FINAL FOUR
- Again, I'm shocked that I have Stanford reaching the Final Four. I've badmouthed the Cardinal on numerous occasions this season. But I just love the way they match up; I think Mitch Johnson is vastly improved over last year, and Anthony Goods has been hot enough in recent games to keep defenses honest (and away from the Lopez twins).
- KU-UNC could be the most entertaining game of the Tournament, if we get there. Hansbrough-Jackson will be just one of a host of matchups I'm already salivating over.
- It's said to be very difficult to beat a team three times in the same season...what about four? That's exactly what I'm predicting will happen with UCLA over Stanford.
- Last year's Elite Eight matchup with UCLA and Kansas was in San Jose, in front of a very pro-Bruin crowd. In Big XII country (San Antonio), I'm giving KU the edge. Plus, I think the Jayhawks have improved, whereas UCLA is still "only" as good as last year.
