Texas’ Big Game Troubles Continue

by David Mihm | February 5th, 2007

Texas blew another golden opportunity to pick up its first signature win of the season this evening. The Longhorns had the Aggies down with about 15 minutes left in the game, but disappeared down the stretch. Acie Law was terrific, but the interior defense for Rick Barnes’ team was atrocious, and when every possession runs through Kevin Durant on offense, it’s pretty easy to defend, even as good as Durant is.

I maintain my contention that Texas will struggle to get into the top half of the bracket by Selection Sunday…the upcoming Big XII schedule is not easy, and there is just no power in the Longhorns’ profile at the moment.
